KMX was taken over by a German company. 

Still, there are plenty of KMX trikes on the secondary market. 

For me, despite the low prices on the used vehicle market, it doesn’t make sense to buy one of these for most users as the technology is outdated. 

For one thing it might still make a lot of sense: As basis for DIY experiments. I.e. if you want to cut and weld your own specialty trike and you want to practice it as a fun project rather than having a perfect trike as an outcome having a perfect and fun learning experience.
